World Cup

http://blogs.timeslive.co.za/soccer/files/2009/12/2010-world-cup-logo.jpg

The World Cup is here. The 2010 World Cup is in full effect. This year World Cup will be held in South Africa. The World Cup is held every 4 years. It is the most watched sporting event in the world. In 2006 the World Cup was held in Germany. Italy won the Cup that year in a shootout to France 5-3. This year the favorite is Spain. Some say Germany. But I say Brazil. I think Brazil will come out victorious. The World Cup proves who is the best team in the world. The first World Cup was held in 1930. It was took place in Uruguay. The host country came out on top winning. Brazil has the most Cups with 5 (and will make it 6 at the end of this year's cup.) This years favorite (which is Spain) has never won the cup. I was surprise when I seen that the US has never won the cup. The hgihest they have ever finished is third. Some people think that we change in this year's cup. I think it won't change because everyone always says and think the US will win every year and ends up losing. I think the US won't even make it out of there group. I have the final four being Brazil, Spain, England, & Germany (if its possible.) The Cup is a few days in but it will get better in the upcoming days. Im not a really a soccer fan but I've watched the cup in 2006 and liked it so it was a reason to watch it again. I cant wait until Group play is over so the Tournament can start.

Penn Relays 09

Day 1

I came to school at like 7:30. I had to put my I-pod and my phone in my suitcase. At about ten everybody was in Ms.Williams office. We left at about 11:45. We came to Penn station at 12:37 and the bus had already left. We all went to McDonalds in the meanwhile. The next bus left at 1:20. We got on that bus. After we got off the bus we took a train to the hotel. We got to the hotel at about 5:45. at &:30 we went to Dave and Busters. It was very fun. We then got back at 11:45. We was suppose to stay stay in our room but you know we wasn’t gonna listen. At about 12:30 everybody was in the hall. We didn’t go to bed to 3:30.

Day 2

At about 9 Ms.Williams came in the rooms and told us that she have gotten a complain about us last night. After a long speech she took our I-pods, headphones, and Track shirts she had given us. She told everyone to get dress and meet downstairs in the lobby by 10:30. We went to the arena. We saw lots of races. We then got to the hotel at 7. I fell asleep till Jahleel woke me up at 9. We was playing the X-box and chilling in the hallway talking to girls. When ten hit we went in the room because that was our curfew. Some people was still in the hallway. So when 10:45 hit Ms.Williams brought everyone to the her room and gave us a long talk and threated to cancel a race. We still went out after that night. Me, Sean, and Byron we still talking to the girls from down the hall. At about one I went in the room and was watching the basketball game then I fell asleep.

Day 3

The next day was the race. We came in fourth in our heat in that relay. After it was over we went to the hotel and played the WII. Me and Terrence was getting our hair done. We was playing music and other people playing the WII. After my hair was done we was in the hallway dancing. Me, Sean, and Terrence had a food fight. It was all fun.

Day 4

We had to pack our bags before we left. We went to the track early that morning. I was mad because Ms.Willams woke us up at 7:45 and I was so tired. We went to the track at like nine. We raced first. Our worst nightmare became true we dropped the batton. We spend the whole day there. We saw lots of races and professional track stars. At six we left from the track. We went to the hotel, got our bags and left. We got on the bus and too a ride home. We got to NYC at 9:30. I got home at 11. This is by far the best trip I went on this year.

Usain Bolt In The Dancehall

http://www.luceajamaicatravelguide.com/UsainBoltHomecoming/images/PicturethreeUsainBoltjoinsDigicelemployeesinarenditionofUsainsfamousGullyCreeperdance.jpg

If you Google Usain Bolt name you will most likely see his achievements on the track and his WRs. What is probably is not shown is that he is a dancer. O yes Usain Bolt is in the Dancehall. In Jamaica Usain Bolt is considered a hero. He has several songs made for him or when his name is mentioned. Elephant Man has made remix for Bolt to his popular song "Nuh Linga" which was dubbed as the Jamaica Track Team anthem for the 2008 Olympics. After broke the WR he did the popular Nuh Linga dance on National TV.http://videos.brokencurve.com/88fadef0617f465d855db1514f35f1e0.jpg

He then appeared in Elephant Man's video entitled "Sweep" which he did the dance again. He then appeared in several dancehall videos which can view on Youtube. In the Summer of 2009 Bolt then broke his own record. At the end of the 100 Meter he then did another dance called the "Logo Logo." After that Reggae Star Vybz Kartel made a song called "Lighting Bolt." He also use Bolt name in the song "Don't Run" when he says "But when yuh say big things yuh run like Usain in Bejing." There is now a dance called the "9.58" for Usain Bolt. Overall Usain Bolt has a large influence on the reggae/dancehall game & Jamaica. As long as Bolt keep breaking WR's and winning medals he will still be in the dancehall dancing, in videos, and in reggae songs.

What College Produce The Best NBA Players

So The Question is What NBA Team Produce the Best NBA Players? I think it's UConn. Im saying it of course because it's my favorite college basketball team. They have Produce players such as Ray Allen, Richard Hamilton, Ben Gordon, The list is endless. Here is a few other people talking about who they think are best.

What College Produce The Best NBA Players from Zuberi Shury on Vimeo.

My Favorite Basketball Player: Chris Paul & How He Became That

My favorite basketball player is Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets. I been a fan of his since he was in college. When he was a freshman at Wake Forest I seen him play against my favorite college basketball team UConn. He caught my attention. I then started to watch Wake Forest a little bit more. I remember the Deman Decons losing to a St. Joesph's team that featured Jameer Nelson & Delonte West.

http://a.espncdn.com/i/pkg/05NBAdraft/250/18716.jpg

Even though my favorite college basketball team won the National Championship that season I still was following Chris Paul. I actually remember his starting five from that season (himself, Justin Gray, Jamal Levy, Eric Williams, & #32 can't remember his name.) Heading into the 2005 NBA Draft I remember my favorite NBA team the Knicks had the number 8 pick. Chris Paul was a certain top 5 pick but i was hoping that he slid down to number eight so the Knicks can take him (Even though the Knicks had Stephon Marbury a hometown hero from my neighborhood.) Unfortunately he didn't. The Hornets took him with the Number 4 pick. Chris Paul became a starter and a instant favorite in the NBA and my favorite player. http://www.loudsportsshorts.com/basketball/cp3/chris_paul_dunk.jpg

2007-2008 was one of my favorite seasons of Chris Paul. He came up second in the MVP voting. In my opinion he should of won. This pass season CP3 didn't have a great one due to injury. A lot of people has also forgot about him. I also seen someone rank him number 5 among PGs. I think CP3 is the best PG in the league.

Best Draft Class

I was looking at a Slam Magazine the other day and they were reviewing draft classes from years past. I then thought what is the best draft class in NBA history. I did some research and narrowed it down to three. The 1984, 1996, & 2003 draft classes. I think the best Draft Class is the 1996 Draft Class. It Featured Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Marcus Camby, and many many others. Second I think is the 2003 NBA Draft. It Featured LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kirk Hinrich, Mo Williams, David West & Many more The 1984 Draft Class featured Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Sam Perkins, John Stockton, & Charles Barkley. Well Lets see some statistics now. http://elcuboderubikdeportes.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/1996_nba_draft1.jpg

First he 1996 draft Class. One Third of this draft class was all-stars (Including undrafted Center Ben Wallace From Virgina Union.) Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, & Kobe Bryant have all won the League MVP. Ben Wallace, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, & Antoine Walker has all one Championships. Overall this draft class was the best. The Next Draft class i think is the 2003 draft class. The 2003 draft is alot of the NBA today. Eight players from this draft has made it to the all star game (LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, Chris Kaman, Josh Howard, David West, & Mo Williams.) Dwayne Wade & Kendrick Perkins headline players that have won championships (Jason Kapono, Darko Milicic, Matt Bonner, & Luke Walton Being the others.) Most of the players are now star players in the NBA. This draft class is the second best in my eyes and def the best of the all-time.

Well For the 1984 I don't really have much words for them. This class produce the greatest basketball player of all-time (Michael Jordan.) It has also produce hall of famers such as Charles Barkely, John Stockon, Hakeem Olajuwon & Michael Jordan of course. This draft was good but not the best of all time. I think because of a weak 1st round.

Who Do You Think Is Faster Usain Bolt or Chris Johnson

http://www.makli.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/usain_bolt2.jpghttp://realdealonsports.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/chris-johnson.jpg

The other day while I was in class I seen someone looking at football stuff. He than said to me "You run track right" so I Replied yea. He then went on to say "You know who Usain Bolt is right" i then answered "Of Course." He then said something that blew my mine. He said that Chris Johnson is faster then Usain Bolt. After he said that I said "NO WAY!!!!!!" That inspired me to write this post. First of off let me just say football speed and track speed is way different from each other. Alot of people could easily say that a football player is fast with all the pads and equipment so just imaging how fast they are without it. That's true but truth is is that no football player is going to beat a professional sprinter in a race. I've seen Chris Johnson times from when he ran track in High School. His PR is 10.5 in the 100 meters & 21.3 in the 200 meters. Bolt has ran 19.19 in the 200 meters & 9.58 in the 100 meters both World Records. It's well proven that Bolt is the fastest man in the history of the world. Chris Chase from Yahoo Sports has also said "Usain Bolt is the fastest human being who has ever walked the Earth." According to ESPN There has also been talk that these two can probably hook up and race against each other for charity. Bolt agent has denied that report. Bolt agent said that Bolt doesn't really follow the NFL anyway and has heard of Chris Johnson. I think Bolt shouldn't waste his time racing Johnson. I kinda want to see them so all these football fans can shut up and see that Bolt is the fastest
